So after being rejected from Nature once (see previous post). We decided to re-organize the manuscript, try some new experiments, and resubmit somewhere else. During these preparations, (and a month after the initial rejection) we receive this email.

My paper is being submitted tonight! At least that's what my boss says. We'll see if it actually happens. I'm sure I'll get 5000 emails tonight before all is said and done. It's not a proper day at the lab unless I cry. Mission accomplished. I hate lab politics. It makes me nervous. And I don't like being told something, naively believing it, and then finding out it's not true. Sorry for being so cryptic. As I said, lab politics. Although for the most part, I love my labbies. I'm in the lab. Being here lately makes me grumpy. Last friday I had to walk home because the snowstorm made it impossible to ride my bike. The walk was actually good for me, because I needed to blow off steam from a bad evaluation I had received earlier in the day.
